    Anonymous note accusing me of stealing a skirt?


    Found this in my mailbox today: “return the skirt or police” (also called me a “psychopath”).

    No name, no contact info.

    I have no idea what this is about and don’t even wear skirts.

      They write like an English speaker trying to write German, if that helps you. Psychopath and Polizei are spelled wrong.

      Play both some hard rock and some stuff by The Police, and apologize for discontinuing your previous playment of such music, with maybe an “after all, you said “Police” not Polizei

      They probably don’t know who stole their skirt and simply threw a note into each mailbox.

      That way when you see that letter you might think they only put the note into your mailbox because they know that you did it. And in reality they have no clue who stole the skirt.

      Honestly just ignore it. What’s the worst that could possibly happen?

      If they get the cops involved they might come to your house and ask you about it, you can tell them that you haven’t got the faintest clue of what that anonymous person is talking about but that you had been wondering what this deranged note was all about, give them the note and be done with it. Worst case scenario.

      Well, if you don’t have the skirt, I wouldn’t worry at all. The worst that can happen is, the police can ask you, have you stolen the skirt of that person. You say no, and you don’t even wear skirts. Then, it will take a couple of weeks and you’ll get a letter that the issue will no longer be pursued (“Verfahren eingestellt”).

      Maybe they assume you speak English and mean a literal rock/stone? Since they also wrote Police instead of Polizei. …Are you stealing peoples stones, OP?

      Ne you should play rock music as loud thar the neighbors can hear it. Everybody if asked have to do it.
