A young Donegal woman has been crowned Ireland’s ‘Rising Star’ among the nation’s marketing experts.

Luíseach Alexander (25), from Crossroads, Killygordon, came out tops at the prestigious APMC Star Awards 2026.

The annual industry competition recognises standout young talent in marketing and live events. The Rising Star category is for professionals aged 30 or under who’re making a big impact in their agency — coming up with creative ideas, solving client challenges, and generally going above and beyond.

A daughter of Bríd and Robert Alexander, the former Gleneely NS and St Columba’s College student, Luíseach is now employed with Verve the Live Agency in Dublin.

A spokesperson for the corporate event specialists said they were ‘very proud’ of the Donegal woman’s achievement.

“It’s brilliant to see Luíseach recognised in this way. Her impact at Verve has been clear to everyone who works with her, and this shortlist is a well deserved reflection of the talent, drive and standard she brings to the team.”

The annual APMC Star Awards, over the last thirty-two years, have rewarded and recognised the best in class experiential, brand activation, sponsorship and promotional marketing campaigns in Ireland.
