President Donald Trump said Friday that he will increase the tariffs charged on cars and trucks from the European Union next week to 25%, a move that could jolt the world economy at a fragile moment.
Trump said in the post that the EU “is not complying with our fully agreed to Trade Deal,” though he did not flesh out his objections in the post.
I guess it means he gives us in EU easy way to get out of this atrocious deal. Hopefully it means that digital tax is back in menu!

This is exactly why any deal with Trumps America is worthless.
Because, any deal can be forfeited at any time for any reason or whatever.
If so-called allies can’t even trust a deal with Trump, then the iran war won’t be solved, period.
This just further erodes the American power and credibility.

EU getting the Canada experience
At first I assumed Trump was being Trump here but after researching this, I actually agree with him. In the 2025 framework the EU was supposed to lower its own tarriffs on various US goods including address non tarrif barriers but they have dragged their feet on implementing the necessary legislative changes to enact this. In addition they’ve advanced changes to IVA regulations that will make it hard to impossible for full-size American pickups to be sold in Europe. The US sees this as a violation of the spirit of the deal. Basically theres been no movement in almost a year towards lowering barriers for American autos, actually the opposite.
This is why no one is wondering why Iran is reluctant to do a deal with Trump over nuclear ..
Why would anyone sign any sort of trade or peace deal with this administration? It’s meaningless when Trump just violates it whenever he feels like it. What a dishonest grifter.
Ultimately pointless making any sort of deal with this maniac
