An email that’s been doing the rounds recently to random .ie email addresses.

The scammer not so subtley has used some AI language model, where as part of the input they’ve requested ‘Irish phrasing‘ to make it seem more realistic.

Thought I’d share anyhow, so I would.

What the fuck. Did they not proofread their slop at all? Even I can tell this is a poor imitation and I’m not even Irish.

Sounds like a speech my principle in secondary gave, just, y’know, *too fucking much*.

Thank you OP that has given me a much needed laugh so it has.

Maybe I missed it, but I didn’t see the word “cunt” even once.

Emails like this use bad spelling and grammar on purpose. It filters out anybody smart enough to cop that it’s a scam(Vulnerable people). If you can spot the discrepancies, you’re not the target.

A heinous method for weeding out potential victims.

    7. I’m surprised it didn’t include a faith and begorra for extra authenticity

Kinda like when Joey used the thesaurus on every word of his speech.

Also kinda read it in the voice of Jim McDonald from Corrie, so I did so I did
