    The consequences:

    Barely 44 megawatts, good for a dozen turbines. That’s how many wind turbines have been added in Flanders in the past eight months. To achieve this year’s target – 80 megawatts – many more would have to be added, and it doesn’t look like that will be the case for a long time.

    This year, energy supplier Engie will install three wind turbines, good for 14.6 megawatts of power. Luminus will have 12 megawatts, Eneco will have 8.5 megawatts, according to a survey. Most of those projects are already included in that 44 megawatts. Storm, Elicio and Ecopower will not complete any projects this year. There is also hardly any construction going on in the ports.
