Grikšas said closer ties would help boost trade volumes and expand cooperation in high-tech sectors. Shifting global supply chains created opportunities to tap economic potential and significantly increase bilateral trade while strengthening institutional and business links, he noted.

The agreement was signed with his Turkish counterpart, Omer Bolat, after the second session of the Lithuania–Türkiye Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) and a business forum bringing together companies from both countries.

Separately, the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts and the Turkish Council for Foreign Economic Relations (DEİK) signed a memorandum to promote investment, business ties and joint projects.

During the visit, Grikšas also met with Türkiye’s Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir to discuss expanding cooperation in innovation and research.
