      It’s so great we just let any old dipshit own a dog that weighs more than a lot of adults and that horrific breeding has ruined their already shaky temperaments even further. All because some people LOVE having dogs like this to intimidate others because of their own deep inadequacies.       I am a very experienced dog lover and I particularly like rothweillers as a breed but these bully breeds serve no purpose whatsoever that I can see

      I have taken in 4 pit bull types over the last 10 years mainly to remove them from people who never should have had them in the first place and every single one of them was unpredictable so I had to put every one of them to sleep shortly after

      Anyone who’s inbreeding animals or selectively breeding animals for profit should be arrested at this stage and we should be putting a ban on inbreeding.

      The “Designer Dog” is eugenics on a Micro level and it’s genuinely creating breeds of dogs which are more predisposed to specific behaviours simply for aesthetic purposes and then getting surprised when something like an XL Bully bites someones face or mauls a child. Look at XL Bully’s, Look at Pugs, Look at Bully terriers, etc, etc.

      There shouldn’t be any breed of dog. Breeds were something we created for convenience and now the majority of dogs bred with a purpose are only propagated in the name of fashion and aesthetic. They should institute licencing for specific breeds in the short term with people to accommodate the needs of dog breeds like the XL Bully. In the medium term we should look at Retro-breeding, like what they are doing with [the pug](https://medium.com/@WelcometotheGrumble/retro-pugs-a7dea92d80c2) to get the dog population back to a healthy state. Long Term then we just ban breeding in general and let nature take it’s course with animals.
