Paddy’s on the prowl ahead of Sunday All Ireland double header!
The 2026 All-Ireland Football championship is beginning to hot up and Sunday sees two provincial finals on the schedule with silverware up for grabs in Connacht and Munster.
Galway take on Roscommon at Dr Hyde Park with the Tribesmen aiming for a fifth consecutive regional title and All Ireland champions Kerry are going for six-in-a-row in Munster against a Cork side in their first final since 2021.
Ahead of two key battles in Roscommon and Killarney, our tipster Feargal Brennan dives into the markets, with four best bets split across the games.

Over 3.5 goals
Kerry are obviously favourites to claim another Munster title to add to the cabinet and The Kingdom are also leading the way as Paddy’s favourite to retain the Sam Maguire Cup in July. Despite losing twice to Donegal in the Allianz League at the start of 2026 – including in the Division 1 final – they’re still the team to beat.
An eight-point Munster semi-final win over Clare loosened them up and Jack O’Connor’s team will be confident against an improving Cork. The Rebels finished top of Division 2 – but lost the league final to Meath – and will join Kerry in the top tier in 2027.
They’ve kicked on in Munster with four goals against both Limerick and Tipperary as Kerry put two in the back of Clare’s net at the end of April. I’m going for over 3.5 goals scored in what should be an exciting clash at Fitzgerald Stadium.
David Clifford first goalscorer
Kerry’s main man David Clifford looks ready to go again after registering 1-7 (2tpf) against Clare in the semis, and he has form for scoring goals in Munster finals, after bagging the first two of Kerry’s four against Clare last year.
That followed on from scoring two of Kerry’s five goals in the 2023 final win over Clare and he will be the key threat again for O’Connor charges.
Galway v Roscommon
WHEN: Sunday, May 10th, 4:15pm
WHERE: Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon.
TV: RTE2/RTE Player
Roscommon to win
Now this should be a closer bout as Galway head to Roscommon. An impressive 10-point Roscommon win over Mayo in the semis prevented a third final between the two huge Connacht rivals – but can The Rossies take advantage in their first final since 2022?
They look to have closed the gap a little on the reigning Connacht champions and a one-point league victory over them in Galway back in February underlines that ahead of this reunion.
This is Roscommon’s first home game of the tournament so far, and after winning three of their four home league clashes at Dr Hyde Park, I fancy a slight shock and a first Connacht title for them since 2019.
Both teams to score a goal: Yes
Roscommon tucked away two goals in that league victory at Galway and they have a forward line full of confidence right now. They slammed in five goals against New York in The Bronx and scored two in the win over Mayo in Castlebar – but also let one in during both matches.
Galway scored one and conceded two in their semi win over Leitrim, so a goal for both teams looks a strong option here.
