Having no time to prepare proper meals or exercise leads to obesity. Shocker.

The UK government has never allowed expert advice to stop them from making unforced errors

Japanese workers and their interminable days are entering the chat and disagreeing… Bad food and no movement are to blame.

I am sorry but the solution is 4 day work week? Not eating less junk, or moving more during the day?
People love to blame everything other than themselves. You need say 2000 calories a day as your maintenance. You really can eat shitty and still be under that by a decent margin.
You could eat a big mac meal with coke zero twice a day, and nothing else yet still lose weight.

Studies should cover the link between stagnant wages, higher cost of living to make meaningful progress and obesity

Weight loss is built on consistency. Trying to fit 40 hours into a 4 day week is a recipe for stress eating 4 days a week.
Instead there should be longer lunch breaks which can include light movement outside, couples with healthy eating during the day.

Blaming work for eating. Those experts really pulled out the stops on this one. Maybe just the obese should do a 4 day week. Positive discrimination.

Electric rising desk and walking pads should be normalised.

I work 12-15 hours a day and find time so no excuses really.

I’m a tradie and self employed wonder how that’s going to help me. Far from obese but yes decent meals are few and far between if your doing 15+ hrs a day.

How about a 1 day week so we can all sit around being paid to be unproductive.
Meanwhile China overtakes us even more. I sometimes wonder what planet these people are on.

More evidence “public health” is just more anti capitalist grift.

Good luck getting either employers to effectively give people a 20% pay rise or workers to effectively take a 20% pay cut.
