    1. Politicians should keep their noses out of football. The last thing we want is them interfering to try to get votes.

The TV companies push for later kick offs because they want more time to show ads. Without their involvement, there’s no reason for a game to kick off later than 7:45pm.

They’ve tried to say it’s because they don’t want to clash with Eastenders and Coronation Street but those two shows are no longer relevant given their declining live ratings.

It certainly should be a requirement when scheduling TV games to ensure sufficient transport is available for the away fans after the game.

Just make train operators legally put trains on.

We already cover their fucking losses, so let them take this one.

    4. Review late kick-offs?…

Like… That’s what’s important?… If any of the other PM candidates were spewing lark about fucking football kick-off times, they’d be ripped to pieces.

Roads are in pieces, NHS is failing. But don’t worry guys, we’ll have football kicking off at 4PM again! This is up there with Sunak rambling on about Maths while the country is falling to pieces and striking left right and centre,

This election is literally just a living meme at this point…

Tel Aviv Keith concentrating on the big issues here…but he’ll u-turn if someone makes a big enough “donation”

Good to see he is focusing on the important issues, not irrelevant stuff like child poverty or the nhs.

Pretty sure a couple of seasons ago Newcastle had the Monday Night Football slot 3 times in a row all away from home.

Good policy to focus on when the UK is falling apart. Well done. So brave.

I want him to look into regatta scheduling, it’s absolutely ridiculous the times I’m expected to have the boat ready.

I’m almost certainly going to vote for Starmer, but it bothers me a bit that this might be the first concrete policy I’ve heard him discuss. /s

Late night games are brilliant for atmosphere, certainly better than Sunday lunchtime. Perhaps solve the problem of expensive or non existent public transport and benefit everybody?

What Keir Starmer should really focus on is late changes to the time of matches. There should be say a minimum of two months notice if not at 3pm on Saturdays or a midweek evening. So people can book trains, hotels if need be, arrange work leave or swapping shifts etc.

Not moving a game at three or four weeks notice.
