Did you check in it? Most likely it has a book and a pen where people write their names as they pass, as it’s very common for mountaintops and other frequented locations.
Maybe its Mother Nature’s mail box 🤔. Jokes aside. Its most likely either someone that put it there or it blown away from the house and landed there after a strong storm. Thats my 2 ideas in what it could be
This is for letters to the trolls, or a national attempt to get people out walking.
Usually a book inside where you put your name and date when you arrive at the spot.
