Gavita International organized an industry event this week at Espiflöt in Iceland, bringing together more than 50 growers from a wide range of crops, highlighting the strong engagement within the country’s horticultural sector. The event was hosted in close collaboration with Arvirkinn, Espiflöt, Hortiadvice, Biologisk and Ammerlaan and provided a platform for knowledge exchange and practical insights, supporting growers in making informed decisions for future-ready cultivation.

The evening program featured a series of expert presentations covering key developments in greenhouse horticulture. Topics included the transition from HPS to LED lighting, practical insights from LED trials, and the integration of lighting systems within climate control strategies.

In addition, attention was given to the future of crop protection, focusing on the combination of biological solutions and technology in practice, as well as innovations in air and energy systems. The best results in greenhouse production are achieved when technology, biology, and people work together.

Following a joint dinner, attendees participated in a guided greenhouse tour at Espiflöt, where the Agrolux WEGA Plus luminaires installed in a hybrid dimming solution were demonstrated. Integrated with a Senmatic climate computer, installed by Arvirkinn.

Building on this successful gathering, Gavita International will host an invitation-only knowledge event on June 10, following GreenTech Amsterdam. This exclusive session will once again be held in collaboration with leading partners and will take place in a unique setting.
