The Bulldogs didn’t waste any time making their presence felt.

In the bottom of the first, Poland loaded the bases for junior Luke Lockiec, who delivered the game’s defining blow, a grand slam that cleared the bases and brought home Carmine Tukalo, Aiden Perry, and Zach Marantis.

The offensive onslaught continued shortly after when Kelley Memo poked an RBI single to drive in Dylan Kelty, capping a five-run frame.

Grady Pitzulo tossed a complete seven-inning game on just 87 pitches. He fanned six batters while navigating through trouble to allow only three runs.

Hubbard (13-12) was led by multi-hit performances from Logan Balla and Jonny Adamson. Colton Yobe added a double to the Eagles’ tally, but they were unable to overcome the early deficit against Pitzulo’s efficient pitching.
