      The part about “business conservatives” is self-explanatory in recent revision of immigration policies. No small businesses led by foreigners allowed, obstacles with PR and some visa types and encouragement of short-lived foreign labor that does not encourage integration into the society.

      This “good foreigner who plays by the rules” vs “bad foreigner who breaks the rules” is very nasty as well, there is no clear definition and distinction and anyone can be called the bad guy night after a new law is passed.

      Whatever they do, it’s simply nasty. With Constitution, they probably think that no one would vote in favor of it (like Breixt) and they spread it to score points. It may backfire because populism is a double-edged sword.

      I think it seems as though she’s running away again. Whenever Takaichi feels that the situation is not going her way, she avoids it, like TV debate or the Diet.
