Wait a minute, was this ever actually a fashion?

I thought that that was just the way things tended to pan out, as opposed to people deliberately requesting that their matchmaker find a younger wife or older husband for them?

I mean, yeah, I’m older than my precious princess, but that’s not because I asked her age, it’s because she really wanted Colin Firth, but got me instead. Not that I’m complaining, Colin Firth is almost as dead sexy too.
