This month, in between assembling and refining each week’s issue of the newspaper, The Denmark News staff will be seen making their way up and down the hill downtown as a new and exciting chapter of local journalism begins. In the coming weeks, the paper will be relocating its offices to its new home just down the street at 107 Wisconsin Ave.
A piece in the May 13, 2026 issue of The Denmark News revealed the move. According to the story:
The staff of The Denmark News posing in their soon-to-be new offices at 107 Wisconsin Ave in the heart of Denmark include (from left) Editor Jacob Heiser, Office Manager Pam Watzka and Sales Manager Scott Wagner (Denmark News photo).
Since being founded in 2009, The Denmark News has called the front office at 116 Main St. home. Originally the offices for the brewery behind it, the building has known many uses over the decades including Village Hall, library and various shops. Unfortunately, like many structures, after over 90 years, the building is showing its age, and the newspaper sought a more suitable home for our operations.
After touring some of the available office space in Denmark, the newspaper landed in the opening at 107 Wisconsin Ave., next door to BJ’s Boutique. The space served the greater Denmark community as a meat market for decades and most recently was home to the Denmark Community Closet before its relocation to 128 Main St. earlier this year.
For most of May, The Denmark News will still be serving customers from its Main Street location while arranging to move to the new site. The Denmark News may still be reached by phone at 920-863-2700 or by mail at Post Office Box 728, Denmark.
By June, The Denmark News will be operating entirely from its new offices and are hoping to welcome the public for an Open House in the near future.
