Only Donald Trump could find a way to sue his own employees, have his own appointees sign the check, and call it a ‘settlement’ while the American taxpayer gets stuck with a $10 billion bill for the ‘crime’ of finding out he doesn’t pay his taxes. It’s not a lawsuit, it’s a heist where the getaway driver is the one writing the laws

Can’t be held accountable if those in charge refuse to do their jobs. Does this make them accomplices.

    3. Firm_Video_2932 on

We’ve reached the kleptocracy stage of his presidency. Just back the truck up to ft knox and load it up….

Do Republicans even understand what they’ve done with that immunity ruling? There’s no way this country goes another 250yrs if that awful ruling isn’t overturned.

    4. Lonely_Noyaaa on

The judge basically told him he can’t sue entities that literally answer to him. Now his team is scrambling to settle before the deadline, which means we the taxpayers will probably end up writing him a check to make this whole embarrassment go away.

man… the math on this is just disgusting. 10 billion dollars while we are out here arguing over whether people should get basic healthcare. it is actually genius in a super villain kind of way though. like he really found a way to just straight up pocket taxpayer money without even hiding it. i just don’t see how anyone can look at this and think it is okay but i guess that is where we are at now.

    6. LolaSupreme19 on

Pardons be damned. When the regime ends, claw back all the money stolen by the trump family and his enablers. Make them go to court and prove it wasn’t stolen.

    7. HoneyBadger552 on

he is moving to russia the day his term ends and his supporters should follow him there. i encourage it

    8. Honestly this could be the solution to the education loan crisis, the health cost crisis, slavery reparations, and literally all other liberal causes if dems would play by the new rules. Just sue the govt under a dem prezi and have them settle it.. no congress needed

    9. He gives out our social security info and then sues us for obtaining the tax forms the mf promised he would release.

    10. This has been his MO all along. He wants to put his name on everything and money-grab anything he can. Then burn it down on the way out. Then gaslight us

    11. poopy_breakfast on

Might? He already has. Every single one of his friends and family have pocketed billions and he gets his cut now, and then some more after he is out of office I am sure.

Either way, the Trump family and friends are going to be influencing America for the next 100+ years if we last that long. It’s gross.

    12. SplashyTetraspore on

A stupid piece of trash. Will be so glad once I never have to hear his name again.

    13. Even though every single aspect of it is blatantly fraudulent, vexatious, meritless, and dishonest.

Not to mention, it’s just a heist. $10bn, snatched out of the pockets of every taxpaying US citizen.

    14. Modred_the_Mystic on

*Might* is doing a lot of heavy lifting when no one seems interested or capable with stopping it.

    15. So Trump promised to release his taxes, never does, and they finally get revealed for him. Mind you EVERY OTHER PRESIDENT has done this. But he deserves 10b of our money for the grievance? Fuck this guy. Fuck this timeline.

    16. DirtyBurgerCommander on

This is by far the most corrupt administration in American history.

Anyone that defends this needs to be shamed into oblivion.

    17. Intrepid_Top_2300 on

      What a situation we’re in.
America, one man has brought us down!

    18. What a clown show American politics has become. Blatant greed and corruption being completely open and nothing is done about it.

    19. hamilton280P on

Who would’ve thought putting one of the greediest people alive in this position would result in this?

    20. muffledvoice on

Legally, Trump as the plaintiff can’t demonstrate that some IRS agent releasing some of his tax returns caused him $10 billion in damages and personal injury. But since he has appointed his own personal defense attorney to run the DOJ, they’re going to try and ram it through on the flimsiest logic. This alone should be cause for impeachment, aside from the dozens of other impeachable offenses.

    21. superjaded08 on

The man can’t be held criminally or civilly liable for anything but can sue his own government while in office and pocket billions. Great system this Supreme Court has setup

    22. Odd_Collection7431 on

of course it will succeed, the rule of law is a joke in this country now

    23. thegoddamnbatman40 on

Well yeah when you literally let him do whatever unchecked, did you expect him to be normal?

    24. OkElection7577 on

Taxpayer money should never feel like a personal payday for politicians.

    25. citizenjones on

After what this Administration has shown us, I believe there is a route to claw back the billions that we’re talking about currently.

    26. LightDarkBeing on

No shit, and the next democratic administration had better go after it and get it, and all the other tax payer money he stole, back.

    27. Confident_Hippo1208 on

      You mean his crypto? No.

      You mean his university? No.

Oh you mean his cellphones? Nope.

Then you must be referring to the stock shorting scam when his makes declarations avout Iran just to discover those are lies? No? Really?

Believe it or not this may be worse than all of those.

    28. Repeticious on

As if he hasn’t already. How much money has the government given to his properties I wonder? Secret service needs to rent rooms in mar a lago while he’s there.

This is just the most blatant theft he’s done. And honestly, it might not be. He’s just done so much dirty shit it’s impossible to keep track. What would be a career ending move by anyone else was a Tuesday for this man.

    29. Billy_Birdy on

Of course it’s going to succeed. The time to fight this man was right after Jan 6, 2021.

Ya’ll all shrugged and said what can I do?

      And here we are.

    30. stephenalloy on

Someone with integrity would have to stop him. That person does not exist in this “administration.”

    31. Warmstar219 on

It is prima facie illegal. Domestic Emoluments Clause. I get that this administration just ignores the constitution, but the next could easily claw it all back.
