NSFW due to the underwear pictures.
Hello people.
I have been living in Finland for nearly 10 years now and I have only ever used communal tumble drying machine. I know it’s not great for clothes if they have delicate fabrics but it’s quite good and intuitive for me since I’m a guy and I mostly wear sports or thick clothes that don’t require much care. Also when I clean, I can just throw my clothes in there and that’s it. I found it quite sufficient for the Lumo time alotment policy I used to live with (once a week, 2hrs maximum per time for one person).
But recently I moved into an apartment building with this kind of wardrobe dryer and it’s been quite a puzzle to me to figure out the right way to set up my clothes for maximum dying efficiency within an hour. I took this picture while still loading the clothes but otherwise there’s much more clothes. I set the machine to extra since it’s supposedly for thick clothes but the last time I did it, the clothes didn’t dry evenly especially the spots where the clothes fold in half on the bar.
So, what gives? Is it a bug or a feature that you can/should only dry a small number of clothing items? Consequentially, should I book more times in a week instead of doing it like I used to in the past (1/week, 2hrs/laundry session)?

Underwear! Disgusting!
I don’t think we Finn’s scare that easy.
No idea about the dryer, never saw such a thing. Probably dries the same way as hang drying so make sure you don’t have multiple layers on top of or close to each other. Use a hanger to avoid those folds or put a bar through it.
you select a program and close the doors lol
people usually just get a rack and do that at their own apartment.
Believe those are more for outerwear like jackets etc. after a rainy day. Some houeses have them.
Finns don’t use that design almost at all, some outdoorsy folks have those for rain gear. We were considering one, but decided that it’s waste of space.
We have similar rack and a dehumidifier that dries the air in our laundry room, so basically made a whole room equivalent of that cabinet.
Sorry forgot to mention, make sure you have cleaned every air filter on that, if those are blocked it’s even more inefficient.
Thanks for the NSFW. I needed that to prepare myself before looking at the picture.
