SEOUL, May 15 (Yonhap) — Hanwha Aerospace Co., a defense affiliate of the country’s Hanwha Group, said Friday it has teamed up with Estonian defense company Milrem Robotics to enter Romania’s unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) market.

Hanwha Aerospace said it signed a teaming agreement with Milrem Robotics to jointly participate in UGV projects in Romania during the BSDA 2026 international defense exhibition held in Bucharest.

Romania has been pushing to introduce next-generation UGVs in line with growing demand across Europe for multipurpose unmanned systems.

Through the partnership, Hanwha Aerospace plans to establish a local production facility and supply chain in Romania to expand its foothold in the European market.
