I think Zuck is pretty happy
They don’t need you anymore. They have AI that can somehow replace you and at the same time create greater output even though AI learns from humans.
I’d like to feel bad for these employees, but…They enjoyed higher than average salaries (even accounting for their cost of living) while bringing shit products and worse surveillance methods to the world.
The smart ones (with high value) already made connections that will survive their time at Meta. The dumb ones (with lower value) won’t. This is the cycle of things inside capitalism. You either learn the rules, or go play a different game somewhere else.

I interviewed there and was dismayed. No one seemed to give a shit about the product, the paycheck was all that mattered and made up for every shitty thing about working there.
