>Donald Trump has suddenly announced a complete one-eighty on his campaign pledge to American farmers that he’d stop Chinese nationals buying up land in the U.S.
>Fox News host Sean Hannity pressed him on why he had abandoned his promise to intervene on Thursday during his trip to China.
>“It’s not that I love it,” Trump said, as he conceded that his promise has been withdrawn.
>Hannity said “thousands and thousands of acres of farmland, ranchland, and land near military installations” are being purchased by Chinese buyers.
>Farm-dependent counties in the U.S. voted overwhelmingly for Trump in 2024; 78 percent of them backed Trump, which was up even from the strong support for his first term.
>In Beijing, Trump was suddenly arguing that it would hurt farmers if he went ahead with his pledge. He said pulling out the external investment would force down land prices.
>“You want to see farm prices drop, you wanna see farmers lose a lot of money? Just take that out of the market,” the president said.
This is a good example of what MAGA doesn’t see about Trump, because they are dazzled by all the pseudo-patriotic flag waving and posturing by the administration.
Trump has no loyalty to America except in how it can enrich and or glorify him. He’s sell America right out from under the feet of MAGA and everyone else to be the richest man in the world. He’d sell his MAGA supporters throughout the country into slavery if he could enrich himself in the process.
That’s just who he is. He worships money and power, and it should be obvious that he doesn’t really care about the lines drawn on the globe, not even those that outline the USA.
TACO folds like wet cardboard while in the White House. In China, surrounded by Chinese, a TACO appearance was a given.
