Sooo… The left one is right. End billionaires and corrupt government will end.

    2. Bernie4Life420 on

The oligarch congress and illegitimate supreme court need to be removed.

      Unity.

why is this getting upvotes? it’s incredibly reductionist and low effort and inaccurate.

Sometimes I wish I were more stupid so that I could feel smarter than so many others

    5. Lol standard centrist posting.

The left is well aware that the billionaires are corrupting the government and if you actually listened to what they were saying instead of pretending to be smarter than everyone you’d know this

The right has almost 0 awareness of billionaire corruption or at least they don’t see how their side is leading the charge

    6. plantbasedpunk on

Actually, the right seems to not mind corrupt government. As evidenced by their enthusiasm by Trump using his office to enrich himself. Their major gripe is “woke”, whatever the fuck that is.

    7. More like the left says corrupt billionaires are running a corrupt government and that’s a problem and the right screams incoherently about Trans people using a public bathroom and how they can’t say the N-word anymore so they vote against their own interests to keep putting corrupt billionaires in charge of the corrupt government.

    8. politiscientist on

It’s almost like the problem ultimately is Capitalism. Billionaires are the end result of an unregulated free market system. They in turn use their wealth to corrupt government. Then your government and billionaires are one in the same.

    9. Cardboardoge on

Actually the right says immigrants, women, trans people, democrats, black people, China, Joe Biden, and Obama are the problem.

    10. iamagainstit on

post like this which imply political corruption has always been rampant just serve to provide cover for the extreme flagrant corruption of the Trump Admin.

The centrist position to fundamentally agree with the left while pretending they have reach some enlightenment middle ground.

“One side says the head vampire is the problem. The other side says all the vampire minions is the problem. I’m over here saying the head vampire controlling the other vampires is the main problem.”

Yeah, you are in agreement with the one side- you just didn’t elaborate.

    13. Therefore the corrupt billionaires are the bigger problem. Pull the weed out by the root.

    14. Sans-valeur on

Lmao how is this a gotcha, the lefts point is that the billionaires shouldn’t be in charge, the right(who’s candidates often tend to be rich people conveniently in charge of privatization and government contracts for their friends)’s point is corrupt government is the problem.
And the gotcha is… pointing out that the corrupt billionaires *are* the corrupt government?
Thats the problem, people who made websites for selling books, rating college girls, people who helped to facilitate online payment or even just had isp companies have *way* too much power globally, due in no small part due to corporate lobbying.
And the gotcha is to point out the obvious lmao.
Idk if this is engagement bait or someone who really thinks this is clever lmao but holy fuck

    15. Ah yes, the enlightened centrist post that was making the rounds a few years ago. Haven’t seen this one for a bit.

Although admittedly at this point, we DO have a corrupt billionaire running the government. I think the Left would say that for sure.

    16. Right doesn’t seem to care about executive order from Trump or when he says he was going to ignore the constitution and ignore the supreme court and kill a bunch of children and, and, and

    17. The right may say that corrupt government is the problem, but they seem to have no problem with (and in fact actively celebrate) the unimaginable level of out-in-the-open corruption of the current administration. They’ve literally done crypto rug pulls.

    18. ContributionOk5695 on

Although I would say the youth on the left are agreeing that the corrupt billionaires are running government. So that makes them more palatable.

    19. JohnCrysher on

And that corrupt governments help create corrupt billionaires. So, they are both right – just different entry points.

    20. Bezos, Zuckerberg, Sergey Brin, Mark Cuban, Bill Gates, and Elon Musk weren’t Billionaires when they started their businesses. Steve Jobs and maybe Musk were Millionaires when they started their Businesses that made them Billionaires.

Billionaires don’t create jobs. People with under a million dollars and millionaires start multi-billion dollar companies. When they’ve reached billionaire status they can sit on their ass and do nothing without losing much money. You want more jobs? Tax the billionaires and do things to expand the middle class so people can take risks.

    21. hillwoodlam on

Op thinking he’s Aristotle when the left have been saying both for decades

    22. Is this to suggest the left doesn’t have an issue with corrupt government (Also ignoring the fact that the right is currently championing arguably the most corrupt government in US history)? More of this “both sides are equally bad” bullshit?

    23. The Left also says that the government is corrupted by billionaires 🤪 So technically the Left was correct.

    24. I love how centrists will speak in leftist terminology and then assume they came up with it.

    25. It is possible for you to have a government that isn’t corrupt.

It is not possible for you to have a corrupt billionaire
