Not at all surprising. Shame here in the US people are so hesitant to move towards electric vehicles.
The “, respectively” is an important part of the original sentence. The changes didn’t cause new accidental deaths, as the numbers could suggest.
They studied how many non-accidental deaths were reduced by reducing particles, and how many all-cause deaths were reduced by lowering carbon monoxide levels.
And there are people that still argue that electric vehicles emit more particulate matter than IC vehicles because of they’re heavier and only tires and brakes matter…
