TOKYO, May 19 (Reuters) – Japan’s ‌economy grew ‌an annualised 2.1% ​in the first quarter, government data ‌showed ⁠on Tuesday, compared with ⁠the median market forecast ​for ​a ​1.7% gain.

    The ‌growth in gross domestic product (GDP) translated into a quarterly ‌increase ​of ​0.5%, ​which compared ‌with the ​median ​estimate for a 0.4% ​rise.
