I mean…this is going to be how it plays, because he is an idiot. If he followed through unlike every other time he did anything, he could directly be saying to his base “commit violence on my behalf and you will be rewarded with enough money to set you up for life”. But as he does with everything else, he’ll drain everything he can get himself and screw over those who support him.

…a smart republican that wanted to become a dictator would have crafted some kind of law package that both enriches those who follow them and strip money from those who resist him at the same time – anti-doxxing laws drawn up as “financial terrorism” laws (“how dare you attempt to get me fired for the hateful things I said, I am not to have consequences for being bigoted and racist, this new law says for identifying me or calling my employer you will go to jail and lose your home and all possessions and I get the money when all those things are sold” being the end goal) – wouldn’t even need to grift/siphon money out of the government, since it’d be coming directly from the people the republicans hate most. Snuff out dissent, encourage hate on their behalf…surprised it wasn’t in Project 2025 to be honest.

The “slush” fund is the distraction, the real shit was the fine text in the “settlement” where it dictates that the IRS must drop all investigations to Trump, his kids and Jared, and any companies they are involved with.
