Croatia’s army of football heroes is locked, loaded and ready to storm the World Cup in America, Canada and Mexico — and fans are already dreaming of another magical run to football glory!
Boss Zlatko Dalić finally revealed the 26 warriors who will wear the famous red-and-white shirt as Croatia bids to become kings of world football once and for all.
And yes — captain fantastic Luka Modrić is STILL leading the charge! The evergreen midfield magician, now pulling the strings for Milan, will once again carry the hopes of a football-mad nation on his shoulders.
Dalić unveiled the squad in Zagreb with just 24 days to go before the biggest football party on the planet kicks off on June 11.
The Vatreni open their campaign with a blockbuster clash against England in Dallas on June 17 — a match already being billed as a revenge battle and a potential group decider. After that come Panama in Toronto and Ghana in Philadelphia.
Before jetting off to the United States, Croatia will fine-tune preparations in Rijeka and face Belgium and Slovenia in warm-up matches.
And what a squad it is!
Manchester City superstar Joško Gvardiol anchors the defence, while veterans Ivan Perišić and Andrej Kramarić bring experience and firepower up front. There’s also a wave of exciting young talent, with fans eager to see wonderkids Martin Baturina, Petar Sučić and Luka Vušković explode on the world stage.
Dalić also named seven standby players — just in case of any last-minute injury drama before FIFA’s final June 1 deadline.
