On 27 March 2026, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of India to Georgia, Amit Kumar Mishra, presented a copy of his credentials to Zurab Darchiashvili, Director of the Diplomatic Protocol Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

    During the meeting, the appointment of India’s first resident Ambassador to Georgia, Amit Kumar Mishra, was warmly welcomed, with its potential to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

    The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of India across various sectors, including trade and economic relations, tourism and education. The importance of exchanging high-level visits was also emphasized.

    Zurab Darchiashvili extended his best wishes for success to the newly appointed Ambassador.
