  1. No surprise – it’s a frankly insane policy on almost every front, and is just a way to get around the fact that Dutton simply doesn’t believe that man-made climate change is real.

Of course they do, they both don’t have a leadership bone in their body.

How are we going to power the country otherwise? Continue coal plants for another two decades?

Economics aside on this complete batshit crazy idea, Crisafulli knows it would become a state election issue and a litmus test of public opinion. So does Frecklington as Tarong is in her electorate. I haven’t yet heard the Member for Callide say anything.

Another thing is Dickson is now a marginal electorate. Dutton won the seat in 2022 with only a 1.7% margin. A Teal getting even a few percent of the primary vote could see Dutton lose his own seat regardless of whichever party wins the election.

It’s a bit of a Hot potato from Mr Potatohead… little surprise that folks aren’t jumping for it

We already have a massive nuclear power source – it’s that big yellow thing in the sky. Cost nothing, just need to catch the stuff it throws at us all day.

  7. I wish they would focus on the actual problems with the plan instead of posting anti-vaccine tier conspiracy nonsense about “toxic” power plants, or how your pets are going to get mutated.

Labor are playing with the most disappointing kind of populism.

the LNP have been pushing this for 30 years, just so they can get a cheap vote and kick the can of fossil fuels down the road.

as per usual, they’re full of bullshit

nuclear was a great idea 20 years ago, and if it had been implemented then we would’ve only seen the first reactors in operation 5 years ago.

I am more concerned about the unfixed potholes in the bruce highway and general shittiness of it condition wise, the people dying because they can not get into full hospitals and the way every project this labor state government does blows out by billions and billions of dollars with the government agreeing to pay labourers on these sites far more then tertiary educated nurses.

Nuclear is way down the list.
