British pantry favourite Lyle’s Golden Syrup is heading to the freezer aisle with the launch of two brand-new ice cream flavours, arriving exclusively at Iceland stores nationwide from March 2026.
The iconic syrup brand is tapping into the growing demand for nostalgic dessert-inspired treats with two indulgent new tubs designed for summer snacking and comforting desserts alike.

Two New Lyle’s Golden Syrup Ice Cream Flavours Arriving in Iceland Stores
The first flavour, Lyle’s Golden Syrup Ice Cream with Gooey Syrup Swirls, will officially launch in Iceland stores from 24 March 2026. A second variety, Lyle’s Golden Syrup Ice Cream with Honeycomb Pieces, is expected to follow later this year.
Available in 500g tubs with an RRP of £4.75, both recipes are made using blended fresh British milk and rich double cream, finished with generous ripples of the brand’s signature golden syrup.
According to the brand, the new range contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
A Nostalgic British Dessert Trend for 2026
The new ice cream collection arrives as nostalgic flavours and classic British desserts continue to dominate food trends across the UK. Familiar comfort flavours have seen a resurgence online, especially around Easter and summer dessert season.
Olivia Haley from Lyle’s Golden Syrup said:
“This launch taps into two big ice cream trends for 2026: British dessert flavours and comforting nostalgia.
“Everyone knows the unmistakable, silky smooth taste of Lyle’s Golden Syrup, sealed with the iconic Lion stamp. Our one ingredient syrup recipe has remained the same since 1881 as a classic. Now we’re bringing that heritage into a brand-new sweet treat.”

Made for Dessert Lovers
The velvety texture and syrup swirls are designed to recreate the taste of classic childhood desserts, making the tubs ideal for serving on their own or paired with puddings.
From drizzling over waffles to adding a scoop alongside brownies or apple crumble, the new flavours are positioned as versatile all-season desserts.
Food fans looking to try the collection can find more details via Iceland Foods and the official Lyle’s Golden Syrup website.
