Wiz Khalifa was reportedly placed on a list of wanted persons by police in Romania, though the listing in question is seemingly no longer active.

That’s the word from regional outlet Mediafax, which reported on Wednesday (May 20) that Wiz, whose mgk collab mixtape Blog Era Boyz is out this Friday, had been added to the Romanian Police list due to “an enforcement warrant for a prison sentence related to drug offenses.”

Complex has reached out to reps for Wiz for comment, as well as to the Romanian Police agency for clarity. This story may be updated.

While a search of Romanian Police’s database using Wiz’s real name (Cameron Jibril Thomaz) does indeed pull up a photo and listing for the Khaotic artist, clicking through leads to a message stating “this alert is no longer active” at the time of this writing.

As we reported at the time, Wiz was said to be facing a possible nine-month prison sentence in Romania last December. In a news release issued at the time, the Constanta Court of Appeal was confirmed to have “ordered the conviction” of Wiz, who’s accused of what Romanian officials have described as “the crime of illegal possession of dangerous drugs for personal consumption.”

The legal headache started brewing back in July 2024, when Wiz performed at a festival in the country. In an X post shared that month, Wiz called the show “amazing,” but acknowledged the apparent heat he was facing from local authorities due to “lighting up” during his set.

“I didn’t mean any disrespect to the country of Romania by lighting up on stage,” he told fans. “They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon. But without a big ass joint next time.”
