The government on Thursday kept fuel price ceilings unchanged for the fourth consecutive time amid easing flunctuations in global oil prices.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources announced that refiners may supply gasoline to stations at a maximum price of one-thousand-934 won, or one U.S. dollar and 28 cents, per liter, the same ceiling that was in place under the previous cap round.

The upper thresholds for diesel and kerosene will remain one-thousand-923 won and one-thousand-530 won per liter, respectively.

Accordingly, fuel price ceilings will remain unchanged for a fourth consecutive round since they were raised by 210 won per liter for each fuel type under the second round introduced on March 27.

The government also decided to extend the price adjustment cycle from every two weeks to every four weeks, citing less fluctuations in Middle East conditions and international oil prices.
