Please stop “trying to attract more visitors” there’s already too many
The number of tourists in Japan is still at its highest level (similar to last year) over the last 4 months.
It would be more than last year without the “Chinese incident”.
My guess is this is mostly flight price related
Lower tourist numbers is fairly normal when a war starts !! It’s not really surprising that people don’t want to travel by air when it involves flying near an active war zone which is the case for European tourists at least .
The Iran war also means people’s finances have been hit due to price rises. Some jobs are also at risk. Hardly surprising there is a tourist downturn !!
