Ehhh- he’ll just catch the next wedding or common law situation. I rag on the guy but let’s not pretend this is a once in a lifetime event.

Guess for Trump the Iran war only counts as an excuse to not attend the wedding of “this person who he’s known for a long time”. Playing another leisurely rigged game of golf? No issue detected there, even hardworking peace-/deal-makers need some time off.

He’s scared of non-typical venues since the Correspondents dinner where he fell down and was then whisked away. Another concern is that it is a Trump failson acquaintance guest list, and these people all have sketchy backgrounds that have security threat potential.

      > “He’d like me to go,” Trump said. “I said, ‘You know, this is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things.’”

If Eric and Don jr were my sons I wouldn’t want anything to do with them either.

      Things narcissists do.

I was afraid of having my narcissist mother at my wedding, you never know what those people will do. I expected her to behave terribly and start drama, because that’s how she is. Luckily she behaved, although she talked shit about me behind my back at my rehearsal dinner that she insisted I hold even tho I didn’t want to.

I’m guessing DJTJ is also a narcissist and DJT sees DJTJ as competition and is jealous. That’s probably one reason he’s not attending the wedding. Plus it doesn’t benefit him, so why bother?

      Narcissists are garbage.

I’m sure he’ll send a video recorded from the oval office. Like you know, the videos he shoots in his diapers but for the desk he sits at, you can’t see them.

    8. I didn’t even know Don Jr had broken up with Guilfoyle. She got all that Mar a Lago face surgery just to get dumped and made Ambassador to Greece.

“I can’t make it to my son’s wedding, I have to go be the president”

Larry David-ass excuse when he spends hours every week golfing. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad, or coming from the antichrist.

I love how little he cares for his failsons. “No-win” should be their nickname.

    11. He’s treating his kids how his father treated him. That means one brother will end up an alcoholic and drinking himself to death, the other will become over-compensating and insecure in all aspects of their life in effort to get their father’s approval. Both sides of the pendulum with that family.

      >After telling reporters Thursday he was going to “try to make” the intimate ceremony between Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson, but that it was “not good timing” because of the Iran war.

      >“That’s one I can’t win on,” Trump said in the Oval Office when asked if he planned to attend his eldest son’s wedding. “If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed by the fake news, of course.”

so instead he’ll play it safe and go golfing

He fucks around on social media for hours on end and golfs all the time

It’s Don Jr, he’s just going to skip this one and wait for the next one

    15. dehydratedrain on

Kinda surprised he didn’t go just to kiss the bride on the receiving line. Then again, she’s old enough to fight back.

    16. 100% it was “Dad, I don’t want you there. It’s our day. Just stay away, go invade Iran or something”

    17. What has Jr done for him lately? Everything is transactional with Donald Trump.

    18. clintgreasewoood on

He’s worried about the “optics” of attending his son’s wedding in the Bahamas the same week he stole 1.8 billion from taxpayers.

    19. Did he actually receive an invite? This gives big, “Well I didn’t want to go anyway” energy.

    20. Zealousideal-Bite735 on

By skipping it, this makes him top headline. The need for publicity is nourishment for him.

    21. cometflight on

And that’s a shame, especially for someone he’s known for a long time.

It will never not be funny for me to think about how Don Jr’s ex wife (Vanessa Trump) is now dating Tiger Woods, and I guarantee that Trump Sr likes and respects her more now than he did when she was his actual daughter in law.

Also, Vanessa Trump has one of the craziest “personal life” sections that I have ever seen on Wikipedia. She apparently dated a “local street gangster” and member of the Latin Kings in the 1990s, but he claims he ended the relationship when the NY Post reported that Vanessa was dating Leonardo DiCaprio, although DiCaprio’s publicist denies that claim.

Then, from 1998-2001, she dated a Saudi prince, but that relationship ended when he had to flee the country after 9/11, because his father, who was extremely close to George W Bush, was suspected to have links to the hijackers.

Then she married Trump Jr, who proposed to her with a $100,000 ring that he got for free because he agreed to propose in front of the jewelry store in front of the paparazzi.

And now she is dating Tiger Woods. Just a wild run of partners for Vanessa.

    23. RandomXDudeRedZero on

They should get married in the White House lawn, next to the UFC cage.

    24. Aural_Essex on

He really doesn’t love his kids. He probably has never loved anybody ever. So sad.

    25. DiagonalBike on

Trump’s handlers and family members probably won’t allow him to attend the wedding because it’ll expose how damaged he is from dementia and heart failure. Trump public appearances are going to quickly become a thing of the past as the MAGA handlers attempt to remain in control of the US government.

    26. Sorry (insert child name), I can’t attend your wedding. I have golf that day.

    27. Hulk_Lawyer on

He is absolutely correct in the fact he will take the PR hit either way. Go, and they’ll criticize you ignoring this mess you started to go to a lavish wedding. Don’t go, and people will criticize you for not going to your son’s wedding.

The difference is most people would choose to take the PR hit of supporting their child. Most people would accept the criticism gladly. Joe Biden knew he was going to get savaged pretty much everything he did involving Hunter, but he always said the same thing. “It’s my son and I love him.”

I just wish more people would take this for what it is, a public declaration that he doesn’t care about anyone but himself, not even a little bit.

But the sad thing is all of these rubes who have bought into the false narrative that he’s doing things for the country or for them or for the movement or for anything other than his own personal benefit we’ll completely miss the curtain being opened yet again.

Well the event could be kid friendly so cant have epstiens buddy!

That said donalds dad had a simple minded son he didnt like and tried to hide away in a pretend military dress up prep school for rich idiots..so maybe he should his own son some slack

    29. I really don’t think anybody would fault Trump for trying to be a little human and going to his son‘s wedding instead of going to his New Jersey golf club.

Instead, he’s using the Iran war as an excuse not to go to his son‘s wedding, while also using the Iran war to distract from the Epstein files. Super useful war, for at least one person.
