The Republic of Ireland’s UEFA Nations League away fixture against Austria in November will take place in the city of Linz, the central European country’s football federation has confirmed.
The Boys in Green are due to visit the World Cup-bound Austrians on 14 November in their penultimate group game in the competition.
On Friday, the Austrian Football Federation announced that the Raiffeisen Arena in Linz will stage the match, with kick-off at 7.45pm Irish time.
Linz, situated in northern Austria, is the country’s third-largest city and is just over 180km from the capital Vienna.
Heimir Hallgrimsson’s side will also take on Kosovo and Israel in Group 3 of League B.
