Global oil prices slightly rose on Friday amid concerns over a delay in peace talks between the United States and Iran.
Brent crude, the international standard, for July delivery ended Friday at 103 U.S. dollars and 54 cents per barrel, up zero-point-94 percent from the previous session’s closing.
West Texas Intermediate for July delivery closed at 96 dollars and 60 cents a barrel, up zero-point-26 percent from the previous day.
Both prices displayed considerable volatility on Friday in the wake of mixed expectations and concerns over the peace deal following reports that the two sides remained at odds over Iran’s enriched uranium transfer and control over the Strait of Hormuz.
The average weekly prices of Brent crude had fallen five-point-48 percent, and that of WTI dropped eight-point-37 percent.
