Dion isn’t wrong.
Alberta would need more than just 50%+1 and if they think they’ll get the other provinces on board with the way the Seppies are acting, they have delusions of grandeur.
I think it’s a mistake to try and keep Alberta from holding its referendum. Polls suggest that only about 30% percent of Albertans will vote yes, we should let them have their vote and when it fails it will be a huge blow to the pro-independence crowd. What we are doing now is creating a narrative where they will say that Alberta wanted to separate and had the votes but we prevented the referendum using the courts etc.
