The US starts the quagmires we then drag ourselves into from obligation and then the downstream consequences of those failed wars is scary stuff like this

There’s a whole lot of traumatised people over there that are not safe there but they’re not safe for the UK either

      > Footage shows Panjshiri knocking wine bottle shelves over, as he walked through the store, littering the shop floor with smashed glass.

      Litter bug.

      > He even used the knife to stab cans during the rampage on December 5 last year, Bradford Crown Court heard on May 15.

Well at least he didn’t stab a person. Not that it will matter for some jurors these days.

      > While rampaging down the aisles, it is understood Panjshiri said: ‘I’m mad with King Charles.’

      KEK. Wut?

Probably just a cultural difference. Shopping in other countries can be confusing.

Many of these Afghans arrive carrying trauma that would break most.

Forged in a Darwinian hellscape of violence, tyranny and theocratic mania – where justice and dignity barely exist – their instinct in crisis is often menace, the raised fist or something more offensive in a number of incidents..

Live by the sword for generations and it shapes the soul.

Outside Kabul, Afghanistan is a tribal, rural society ruled by clan loyalties, AK-47s and unforgiving religious fervour.

Sympathy comes easily for souls cast in such a furnace. Yet it must never become sentimentality.

The safety, cohesion and peace of those already here – the people who built this country and expect it to remain recognisably functional , safe with a level of cohesion – must come first. Integration is no magic wand, and centuries of conditioning cannot be laundered by British politeness.

How to help the more traumatised amongst them without jeopardising safety is anyone’s guess.

Siloing in hotels and Wishful virtue has never been sound policy though. Dreadful.

    5. This needs to be an instant no on the asylum application and sent straight back to Afghanistan when his sentence is up.

There’s no reason someone like this should go half way around the world to seek “safety” in the UK anyway. But when they are clearly unsafe for the existing residents of the UK there’s no way we should be taking them in.

Does anyone else play guess the newspaper from the headline?

Knew instantly this was a daily hate one.

    7. He’s just misunderstood. He’ll definitely change if we give him a house and money.

The Daily Mail and its younger brother GB News are trying to keep people in a perpetual state of outrage as angry people are easier to control, they always have been
