Here’s the hottest take of life: Just refuse and disregard them lol. Cope and seethe. You got Trump floating the idea of wanting to stay in power, not following the constitution, disregarding the law. The man literally said “The people who were loyal to me, now get paid back. That’s the transaction.” In a roundabout way, he’s just giving permission. I don’t give a shit if he gets mad and threatens to send ICE. You were already going to do that anyways. People need to stop being nice. It doesn’t get you anywhere and people will take advantage of that.

So, we’ll just do the same.

States rights suddenly become very popular again depending on who is in the White House

NY also just passed a bill barring all state PD’s from entering into any formal cooperation agreements with ICE, banning federal agents from wearing face covers on the job, requiring them to visibly display ID and allowing private citizens to sue them for constitutional violations (even retroactively.)

It’s not a good day when we’re relying on the morals of local law enforcement to protect people. Remember, there’s thousands of people who all swore to defend this country and haven’t said or done a thing, the NSA, FBI and CIA could have prevented all of this from happening had they actually been doing their jobs.

If ICE has a judicial warrent for said immigrant, then the NYPD would hand them over. No warrant, no immigrant.

What about after a felony prison sentence has been served? This used to be common practice. Can’t tell from the article if this has also been halted.

    7. Good on them. Local police shouldn’t be doing federal immigration enforcement, that’s not what they’re there for

What a different story this could have been with a detestable eel like Cuomo in the mayors office instead.

      Voting matters

Absolutely shocking this is from the dirty as fuck NYPD.

But hey, good on em. For once choosing to be decent.

So they won’t turn over criminals to be deported? Why is this a good thing?

The mayor has ultimate power over the NYPD and unless they want to be fired or jailed, they’ll do what he says.

Why wasn’t this done in MN before ICE started their occupation there last winter?

Kicking illegals out is the correct thing to do. Insanity that this isn’t the default opinion.

That’s actually kinda shocking considering their track record. These are the same people that protested a ceremony for one of their fallen because the mayor criticize them one time.

You know you’re truly evil when you make the NYPD look like the good guys.

So now the NYPD are terrorists or serve in the interest of terrorists.
