The European Commission has
allocated €158.9 million to Albania (€49 million), Montenegro
(€44.2 million), and North Macedonia (€65.7 million) as part of
the €6 billion Western Balkans Growth Plan, which aims to
integrate partners into the EU’s single market while also
promoting regional economic cooperation and reforms. This
allocation follows the third payment request and the
Commission’s positive assessment of Albania and Montenegro’s
business competitiveness and innovation reforms, as well as
North Macedonia’s education and digitalisation efforts. The
resources disbursed today bring the total amount disbursed to
€212.8 million for Albania, €89.3 million for Montenegro, and
    €142.1 million for North Macedonia.
