    1. Show me a person that treats China like a threat of any kind to Americans, and I will show you a propagandized idiot.

    2. From the article:

An unreliable ally in the West, Trump is now signalling that America is happy to its friends in Asia with the [suspension of a $14 billion arms sale to Taiwan](https://www.independent.co.uk/asia/east-asia/us-taiwan-arms-sale-iran-war-trump-xi-summit-b2981653.html)just days after meeting China’s leader Xi Jinping.

Following a pattern that he has established in his behavior following meetings with Russia’s Vladimir Putin, Trump appears to have taken the side of a rival power that is also an enemy for America’s long-standing allies.

In Asia and Australasia, there is fear he may abandon long-held strategic policies in the same way that he has ditched the principles that hold NATO together.

Past U.S. administrations have said that they were shifting their priorities to Asia and the wider pacific in order to offset and contain Chinese ambitions.

Now, the region rightly worries they are next to be abandoned to Trump’s desire to carve the world into spheres of influence.

    3. So is he now going to hold up arms sales to Taiwan unless they dig up some dirt in Hunter Biden?

’cause I’ve seen that before somewhere.

He thinks Putin and Xi are his friends and abandons allies that live in democracys. 50+ years of stable reliable alliances down the drain because of one guy, it’s insane..

Taiwan is basically being treated like a poker chip between Washington and Beijing

Yes of course, it’s so cute that this article even had to be written. It’s been over a decade and America still has no grasp of who Trump is. America doesn’t understand Americans

The master of deal making no doubt struck a deal with China in regards to Taiwan on his recent trip to China. Trump is selling out the US and I doubt it will ever recover.

The US military’s main job is protecting the US economy 1st and defending its borders 2nd. Taiwan becoming part of China would be devastating economically

No, he favors what he considers potential business partners over allies. Trump will gladly sell out US allies in exchange for personal/family real estate deals or stock investments. Putin and Xi can win Trump just by offering him plots in Beijing and Moscow for Trump Towers or Hotels or Golf Resorts. Or stock shares in their various tech or mining or drilling companies.

    10. Remember that Trump gratuitously and unilaterally surrendered Afghanistan back to the Taliban in his first term with the Doha Agreement of February of 2020, AFTER we’d won the war and a democratically elected government was already in place. He betrayed our NATO allies still on the ground at the time, all the troops who sacrificed their lives in the war, and the Afghan people who were the biggest losers in the “deal.”

He was so clueless about his surrender of Afghanistan that he wanted to invite the Taliban leadership to Camp David, just a few miles from where one of the planes hit the Pentagon in 2001, for a big signing ceremony and celebration with the obligatory photo op.

It’s no wonder he seems to be willing to unilaterally surrender Taiwan to China as a personal favor to his good friend, President Xi. I wouldn’t be at all surprised. That’s the way he rolls.

As he himself has said many times in public, Putin is Trump’s great friend, too. He’s obviously wanted to unilaterally surrender Ukraine to Russia from the beginning; only Zelenskyy and Europe stand in his way. In 2024, just before the election, Susan Rice compared Trump to Neville Chamberlain, saying, “He’s an appeaser. He’s a surrender monkey. And that’s what we’re seeing in his approach to Ukraine.”

    11. I assumed from day one he wouldn’t help Taiwan against China. Why would anyone expect something different?

The “Trump does typical Trump things anyone with a brain saw coming years ago” outrage is getting tiresome.

    12. For Trump, allies is a kinder and gentler term for sucker and/or future victim.

He is an authoritarian of a big country, he loves authoritarians of other big countries. It’s that simple.

They treated him like a king and also blatantly treated him like a child in front of the whole world in sophisticated ways signalling to the smart individuals that they don’t give AF. It’s hilarious that the narrative is the chinese intentionally didn’t serve him tea and gave him a cushion that made him seem smaller than Xi, when he already acts like a petulant child everyday. He probably doesn’t drink tea even to be polite and his ass probably and hopefully has sores on it from the meds.

Trump being smaller than Xi had nothing to do with Tea or cushions but his behavior and also raping children. All he has to do is release the files at yet he withholds them. To use as blackmail against others so he might enrich himself and his family. Or he really did fuck kids on Epstein’s Island. Man what I would give to see Pedophile Protector Mike Johnson’s face if that were the case.

Imagine making a compact with your son to hold each other accountable for not watching porn, and then turning around and shielding a man shielding pedophiles or a an actual pedophile. Is this the Twilight zone? Mike must think so lowly of his son, not only does the compact go public but he obfuscates truth but expects his son to be truthful? Where is the role model to learn that from. They grow up PP Mike, and they are less forgiving than the people will ever be. Lol dumbass.

Imagine being PP Mike Johnson’s son though. If he tracks politics at all he could make one comment to the media and blow the whole thing out of the water, we could be literally hostage to the whims of his son well at least PP Mike Johnson is. I’d never be in trouble if I was a shitbird and PP Mike Johnson was my shitty sperm donor.

TBH we just don’t have the weapon to sell to begin with… We already have a hard time supplying enough ammo to Ukraine, then Iran war further depleted it. And we are gearing up to fight Cuba, and because of Iran war all the middle east nations want more weapon too.

And we are expanding our military as well but we just don’t have the industrial capacity anymore

I’m glad the US is getting out of the way. Peaceful reunification is inevitable.

      > “Right now we’re doing a pause in order to make sure we have the munitions we need for Epic Fury – which we have plenty,” US Navy secretary Hung Cao said in a senate hearing on Thursday.

Abandoning an ally because we have plenty munitions.

    18. What a moron. One of our biggest strengths are our allies. That’s how we control China and Russia. Fuck this moron.

    19. With trump as president, he treats our enemies as allies and allies as enemies. You can’t get any more backward bizzaro world than trump. A fucking child

Let’s see the US technocrats build AIs without Taiwan chips. These fancy chips are ALL made in Taiwan.
