President Donald Trump said Friday that a deal between the United States and Iran to end the war has been “largely negotiated” and will be announced soon.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said final details are still being discussed and will be released shortly. He did not provide additional information.
Trump said the agreement is subject to finalization among the United States, Iran and several other countries, and that the Strait of Hormuz would remain open as part of the deal.
He said he spoke with leaders and senior officials from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Jordan and Bahrain about Iran and issues related to a “memorandum of understanding” on peace.
Trump added that he separately spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and said the conversation went “very well.”
