The Republican Party, which claims to be fighting antisemitism, is secretly funding Maureen Galindo, who is running as a populist in the Democratic primary for a U.S. House seat in Texas and in recent weeks has said:
* “the Jews who own Hollywood, they use books and movies to create realities.”
* Urged her supporters to turn to Jesus, who she says “was fighting this church of Satan 2,000 years ago that still exists.”
* Said that “Zionist Jews” own the media, the banks, and all the politicians
* Said Israel is planning a genocide of American citizens inside the United States without explaining how this could happen
* Accused primary opponent Johnny Garcia of collaborating with “billionaire Zionist Jews” to run a human trafficking network in Bexar County
* Suggested Garcia should be executed for treason
* Vowed if elected to turn an ICE facility into a camp for ‘Zionists’
Meanwhile, Democrats from AOC to Ruben Gallego to Greg Casar, the Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, to both the Democratic nominees for U.S. Senate and Governor in Texas (James Talarico and Gina Hinojosa) have publicly rejected her views and candidacy and have all endorsed her primary opponent, Johnny Garcia.
Didn’t we suspect that?
Is the human trafficking network anything like the one the Trump administration is actively breaking the law to protect?
Because the weirdo racist (but still wanted things like nation health care, wlfare systems etc but only for “real” aka white people) componet of the democratic party left the democrats for trump. The republicans already had this element but they were more so religious nutters first and really into capitalism.
They democratic nutters hung around the party because of the parties support of social services but were getting more and more dissatisfied with the inclusion of various minorities groups into the democratic platform. Or they werent voting at all.
Trump came along and they bought into the bullshit and thought he was gonna get rid of the “undesirables” and they would then rise to the top. They got super patriotic and hopped into religious fundamentalism with both feet too.
Republican party is now stuck with those nutters and their old nutters. Together those nutters have now basically run off the not entirely batshit old style civil rights supporting northern republican types ie socially liberal (ok with abortion, Marijuana legalization, gay stuff just want low taxes and dont trust the government on a federal level).
Which leaves the career republicans in congress with a conundrum of how to stay in power and is pissing off a lot of their traditional corp spouse because trump is fucking the economy up hard and it is startung to eat into their profits.
So they arr trying to dilute the nutter amounts in their party by bscking new nutters as dems to get rid on some of the stank on their brand.
If i had to guess.
Another way to cheat, support a whack job on the other side.
