Wanker platformed by one of the worst “news” sites in the country pretends to care about people in order to argue against a good policy change? Shocking…
News.com.au unironically saying wont someone please think of the millionaires
Lying bullshit artist protecting his own interests.
Looks like an absolute flog too
> We are going to see less rental properties coming on the market and over time existing investors will sell-off
Who are investors going to sell the houses to? I love how investors always think houses will just disappear.
As opposed to the two class economy it has already created??
The line between news.com and realestate.com continues to blur
Oh my God, this isn’t Betoota? This fucker is being serious?
New law the government should make: media shouldn’t be allowed to ask landlords’ opinions on tax or the economy. especially self professed ‘professional landlords’.
How did news.com accidentally publish a betootah advocate article?
I thought this was a Shovel headline
This reminds me of when the fuel crisis was going on, all the rich grey nomads were complaining about how it will stop them from traveling to rural towns which they apparently help so much by stimulating their local economies.
Spoiler; those grey nomads in their caravans don’t stimulate local rural economies at all.
Oh no! Anyway..
No one needs to own 100 properties. Legit sounds like a Beetoota headline
This budget has illuminated one thing at least, just how much of a self-interested society has been created.
The old adage about people who call themselves ‘self-made’ often ignore the societal benefits they took advantage of to become ‘self-made’, and end up in some sort of twilight zone where they make statements like this. We’ve produced a group of people who don’t have any love for their country, or are concerned for its future. They genuinely could not give a shit. This is why legislation is needed, the tipping point has nearly been reached and they have to be instructed.
>Landlord with 100 properties
>News.com slop
Hard pass
This is why these new reforms were well overdue.
One Nation, Liberals and Nationals have been trying to do everything in their power in the past decade to distract from the fact that people like this guy exist – by either blaming immigrants or trying to push culture war bullshit to mask the class war.
The guy looks like a proper chav.
What a knob. Feel sorry for this idiots tenants.
Parasite greed never stops. They just want to keep leeching and leeching while providing nothing of value to society.
And no, their housing is not value because the only thing they did was preventing someone else from buying, it’s not that they are adding more housing, they are buying it so they can leech someone. They are literally scalpers.
The more of these articles I see, the more convinced I am that this is good policy
[news.com.au](http://news.com.au) is false advertising as a title
there’s no news at all, it’s just the same recycled bullshit
someone here the other day coined the term “***angertainment***” and if the cap fits…
When the vast majority of negative comments of the new taxation changes are from the very wealthy and property overlords I know we’re on the right track
Can we please ban all Murdoch media from this sub?
Sounds like he’d support a national progressive land tax then! No….?
Had to check this wasn’t a chaser article for a second there. Fucker can sell his shit and help the economy and country he supposedly cares about.
Maybe we have to have that conversation about those who should do the heavy lifting like they usually lump on the Poors. This time it’s the rich and property enriched. Do your duty for the country. Fuckers.
Can we stop giving airtime to this rubbish?
Yeah look only thing I want to hear out of a guy with 100 properties are his chains rattling as he gets thrown in the gulag.
Private individuals or companies just straight up should not have that much pull over a commodity if absence of that commodity impacts the health and wellbeing of a society.
We already have a two tiered society. Those with family money that can afford to buy property, and those without family money that will likely end up renting their whole life until they retire in poverty.
That is now. That is today.
So sorry if the warnings of a two tiered society just aren’t changing my view. These changes (and many more) need to happen in order to make the system fair for all. If you are a winner in the current system that is great for you, but it is likely on the backs of a lot of other people being priced out.
Honestly thought this was a Betoota Advocate article title
It’s fucking great that the media is literally pumping these articles out as fast as their AI tokens will allow and most people are like “nah fuck off”. How good!
Oh surely not a two class economy. That would totally be worse than our current system where one class owns property and the other is stuck in permanent subscription
Wow shocking that a guy whose job involves investment properties thinks this is a bad idea. Hopefully the next millionaire they interview is more optimistic
*Won’t somebody please think of the poor asset-rich slumlord!*
God look at his face in that picture! He looks like someone you’d want to have a shower after meeting. Arrogant fuck.
He’s not concerned about rental supply. He’s concerned about his personal tax bill, and to that I say – poor diddums.
So much for the boomer landlords. This just shows greed comes with every generation.
Oh wow [news.com.au](http://news.com.au) picking a few individuals to push a narrative and making an entire fuckin news article about it.
They never ever do this propaganda bullshit….
I am genuinely not interested in the opinions of a person with 100 properties
This cunt is the exact reason that states should ditch stamp duty and replace it with land tax. The more you own the more you pay, instead of slugging people with a single family home. It would also help to get more stock into the market since people will be more likely to buy and sell.
