Is this actual dangerous criminals, or just some nonsense that will affect maybe 1 hardcore crim, with a whole bunch of collateral damage.

I like the way Alison’s family is pointing out that he didn’t just take Alison’s life, he destroyed their lives. I believe this should be a crime in itself that’s added to the rap sheet and part of the trial.
Genuine question for discussion – why are Parole Boards not considered personally liable for their parole decisions? Regardless of the size of the crime. I don’t see why dangerous prisoners should get any parole, but for smaller crimes – how many criminals offend on parole and their crimes escalate. Should parole be a right?

Actually just watched two horrific murder shows which highlighted their crimes in Qld. One is due for parole in 2031 (Daniel’s murderer) and the other in 2034 (Sian Kingi’s murderer).
Those people should never be released but are up for parole in the not too distant future.
10 more years would be fabulous to keep these monsters off the streets.

How is it this bloke is even eligible for bail for what he did yet the likes of Brendan Abbott who didn’t kill anyone (sure, inflicted trauma on a few but didn’t kill anyone ) essentially have a life sentence?
