always amused to see tibet claiming the Hexi corridor and what seems like half of the Sichuan basin. kinda like hungary claiming slovakia and transylvania.

    2. inb4 this post gets the legendary locked award. dropping maps like this on reddit is basically throwing a grenade into the comment section tbh.

This is Tibet at its greatest extent like 800 years ago. The logic to draw this map is the same logic China uses to claim Tibet, which effectively is that the borders are defined by the height of historical power.

    4. It also shows India expanding their occupation of and fully annexing Kashmir.

There’s a reason they love Israel so much!

Never possessed in ten thousand years? Did they miss the entire Qing Dynasty?

CCP bots saying it’s “Indian Propaganda” based on the map being from India, while conveniently ignoring that the map is from a Tibetan Refugee Settlement (set up by people who escaped the Chinese invasion of Tibet) is hilarious.

    7. It is how some Taiwanese claims the whole China including Outer Mongolia and the whole South China Sea. No one takes it seriously until someone with claims come into power.

I remember when they tried this in the 1920s and the KMT started beheading their monks in Qinghai.

Country is just a name territory is their body it makes no difference if it’s separated from China or not with how close they are conflicts is going to happen everyday if they both have army, just like India and China. But if China absorbs this place it closes the window of any conflict in the future automatically. So it really doesn’t matter if they want to be an independent country or not.I believe it will be like Mongolia, which is less developed than Tibet after so many years with the independence.Sometimes choice is made by history and financial factors, not only some democratic crap

India can take Tibet if they want but they didn’t,China did the job for him.So he won’t have to.

In 1962 the fanansty of trying to take Aksai Chin and Tibet was shattered by Chinas PLA.

Pretty funny to see them claim a lot of areas outside of Tibet proper too.

Damn tibet claiming like Austria hungary was something not in my bingo

    14. Why does Tibet include the hexi corridor and half of sichuan? What a load of bullshit. If the justification is that the Tibetan empire defeated the Tang empire and conquered (and later lost) those areas over a thousand years ago, that would also make China’s claim over tibet fully legitimate since the PLA also defeated and conquered Tibet about 70 years ago

This is such a cope😂😂. Tibet isn’t going to become independent anytime soon and y’all might as well accept it
