The foreign ministers of South Korea and Croatia have held discussions on potential cooperation in energy and the defense industry.

The South Korean foreign ministry said in a statement on Monday that Minister Cho Hyun met with his Croatian counterpart, Gordan Grlić-Radman, in Seoul and the two agreed to promote future-oriented cooperation in energy, batteries and the defense industry.

The Croatian minister also positively assessed advances in practical cooperation between the two nations, including memorandums of understanding on defense, economic cooperation, and science and technology.

The two nations agreed to establish an institutional framework to allow their people to travel more safely by signing a memorandum on security cooperation.

They also decided to accelerate discussions on a working holiday agreement to support future people-to-people exchanges and continue educational and research exchanges between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
