Greece, N.Y. — A New York State Police report obtained by 13WHAM News is shedding more light on the Town of Greece’s decision last week to place Police Chief Michael Wood on administrative leave.

In a statement Friday, the town said it was preparing to investigative allegations surrounding the report, which was verified by an anonymous source familiar with the case. The town said a private firm would likely begin the process within the next week.

The several-page report was compiled in 2024 by a state police investigator and details allegations of misconduct by an officer for the Rochester Police Department against his supervisor, Naser Zenelovic, who later joined the Greece Police Department as a deputy chief.

In the report, the RPD officer alleges several instances from 2019 to 2022 of misconduct, including stalking, falsifying records and creating a hostile work environment. The report also details questions about Chief Wood’s hiring of Zenelovic. Wood claimed he vetted the allegations against Zenelovic but did not find validity to them.

The report also says the New York State Attorney General’s Office and the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office under former DA Sandra Doorley declined to comment on the case.

The town said Zenelovic resigned from his post Friday and has declined to comment further. 13WHAM reached out to Zenelovic and has not yet heard back.
