The draw will determine what paths teams must go down in order to win the Sam Maguire Cup.

The first round of the All-Ireland football championship is halfway completed, and teams are beginning to plot their course to the Sam Maguire Cup.

Four first round games were played this past weekend, with the winners heading into Round 2A, while the losers head for round 2B. The final four games will be played in round one this weekend.

The permutations are quite simple: If you’re in 2A – a win will send you into a quarter-finals, while defeat will send you into round 3. If you’re in 2B – a win will send you into round 3, while a defeat will send you home.

The four teams that progress from 2A and the four teams that win in round 3 will face off in the quarter-finals.

Because the path to the All-Ireland will only become clearer at the end of round one, the draw has not yet been made for rounds 2A and 2B.

When will this draw take place?

The draw will take place next Monday, June 1st, the day after round one concludes.

Where can I watch the draw?

Normally, the GAA Championship draws can be viewed on GAA+ YouTube channel and the GAA’s social media platforms – that isn’t expected to be any different for this round.

What teams are already in Round 2A?

Tyrone, Galway, Cork and Donegal have all progressed to Round 2A because they won their round one matches this weekend.

And who are in Round 2B?
