Three construction workers are dead after a structure collapsed at an overpass demolition site in Seoul.
The collapse occurred around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the site where the Seosomun Overpass, which links the Chungjeongno and City Hall subway stations, is being demolished.
The incident left three workers dead while another three are undergoing treatment in hospital.
Firefighters have assumed a Level 1 response posture and mobilized some 60 personnel and 16 pieces of equipment for search and rescue efforts.
To prevent further damage, police have mobilized some 30 officers to block traffic between the Korean National Police Agency intersection and the Chungjeongno road.
