    1. **My Guesss:**

      Democrats: Biggest City

Republicans: Most out of the way, lowest population, rural county

Lake County Oregon: Human population 8,200, cattle 80,000. Truly red meat.

marin county being more blue than SF is interesting. wouldnt have guessed that

In Kansas that red county on the Colorado border is Wallace county, population 1,470. That blue county is Douglas County, population 120,000.

    5. Ohio is Cleveland (Cuyahoga County) for most democratic, and Holmes County (which I only know as Amish country) for Republican.

Love it when they’re either right next to each other or on exact opposite sides of the state. For example:

Arizona: we’re wearing our get along shirt

      Wyoming: no talk me angy

I live in the red dot in Michigan and I can confirm. lol. But there are always blue dots in the sea of red.

What county is that in Florida? That’s not one of the big cities? Interesting it’s the most democratic and so close to the reddest

    9. Is this determined by some specific election’s results? Because I just looked up the voter registration stats for counties in my state and the most Republican one on this map is not the most Republican by registration numbers.

Grew up in a red and moved to a blue. Dislike both. Need the most gray I suppose

I would not have expected Calcasieu Parish, or any South Louisiana parish, to be Louisiana’s reddest. Would’ve suspected one of the northern parishes to take that title.

I’m surprised the most blue in Wisconsin isn’t Milwaukee or Madison

    13. That blue dot in Iowa is known as The People’s Republic of Johnson County.

    14. Lassen County versus say Modoc or one of other rural one’s surprises, with Cali

Lol at Delaware.  3 counties stacked on top of each other.  Northern most county blue, Southern most county red.

    16. New Mexico is very interesting because it shows you exactly how educated vs uneducated people vote. Blue dot is Los Alamos with thousands of PhDs vs oil country with majority with no college degrees.

I really would have thought Hampshire or Suffolk counties would have been the bluest. But Martha’s vineyard? Well, TIL

      “Democratic”

It’s the “Democratic Party” not the “Democrat Party”. “Democrat Party” is used as some sort of petty insult by republicans.
